An eclectic blend of older homes and new planned neighborhoods, this unique area emanates a "country" atmosphere while offering yet with easy access for daily commuters to Tacoma and Seattle. Home of the "Browns Point" Salmon Derbies for kids of all ages and the popular Browns Point Salmon bake, this  outstanding community with very high emotional appeal  offers something for nearly everybody. From traditional to contemporary, there is a wide variety of choices from which to chose.

This area is centered around Puget Sound, a body of salt water unique in all the world.  Here even a small boat is a "ticket to paradise."  Natives enjoy Salmon, Cut Throat Trout and other types of fishing.  These protected waters make it possible for even relatively small boats to cruise up to Alaska during certain times of the year.  (Several years ago a local radio personality used this same water to reach Alaska on a Jet Ski!!)

We also have two major  waterfront state parks, and a wonderful "state of the art" fishing pier.  There are two golf courses nearby, a public 18 hole golf course at Northshore and a private 18 hole PGA rated course at nearby Twin Lakes (home of Twin Lakes Realty).  There are marinas for boats of all sizes and needs.  These two areas have many of the rather scarce low and no bank waterfront properties around Puget Sound.  Easy access allows one the opportunity to harvest shellfish, swim, boat or simply "skip stones"  whenever  desired.

Commerce and nature are in balance in this area with stunning views of majestic Mt. rainier, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains overlooking the shipping lanes to the Port of Tacoma (the largest and best protected deep water port on the West Coast of the United States).  This Port provides an ever expanding and important economic boost to the entire State, but especially to the Federal Way, Tacoma area.
